Am I the only preganant woman with migraines EVERYDAY, NONSTOP!!!!?

I mean like constant, nonstop….pulsing in my head and hurting. It throbs when i bend over and sometimes when i stand up. I have been through fioricet and darvocet, neither touches it at all. Am I out of options.
ok i spelled pregnant wrong
Thats pretty much all i drink is water. Its been my fave drink since I was little.

No your not the only one unfortunately many suffer migraines when pregnant and its often a side effect of the hormonal changes going on in the body. Try putting a cold cloth on your head or feel the vains and see if you can find a hard one where the blood has blocked – this often causes the migraine. Try 4Head on it or any type of eucaplytus or mint oil and see if you can get the blood flowing again, massage might also help.

Anti sickness wristbands have also been known to help ease migraine problems during pregnancy.

Afraid doctors wont help with medication now your pregnant and expect you to suffer them as no medication is available for during pregnancy.

good luck

Whatever their trigger, migraines are a vascular event, meaning that your blood vessels constrict, and that is what causes the symptoms.

A friend of mine watched a show a few months ago about aspirin – real, old-fashioned aspirin, which is commonly prescribed as the first line of defense against other, more well-known vascular events, like heart attacks and strokes. It works very well and saves lives by thinning the blood.

The two doctors on the show started talking about the benefits of aspirin in relation to vascular events, including migraine. They discussed how aspirin actually works better than the drugs commonly prescribed for migraine, with the added benefit of being cheap and easy to get.

You should definitely talk to your doctor about using aspirin in pregnancy, but if you can, try it. It really, truly works – not in a pain relieving capacity so much as a symptom reliever. I got a very bad migraine the other day which came on very suddenly, I took two aspirin right away, and within five minutes, the visual symptoms started to disappear, and I think I had a much less bad experience than I might have otherwise.

You should also consider seeing a chiropractor. While I am certain your hormone fluctuations are not helping, you could have something else going on that might be making setting you up for migraine – you certainly have nothing to lose, as chiropractic care is not invasive or dangerous.

The migraine I had the other day was unusual for me in that it was by far the worst I have ever had, was preceeded by an eye-twitch which lasted several days, included migraine symptoms that are common, but which I have never had (nausea, blurred vision, weakness), and lasted much longer than any I have ever had. I saw my chiropractor after three days, and experienced about 65% relief of symptoms within 24 hours. I had a follow-up visit today, and I am now symptom free.
