A women who is a CNA at the large group home I’m been in for 6 weeks, she got mad that I wanted my PRN for migraines called fioricet. She says she is going to fax my doctor to get me taken off of my narcotics. I wrote a grievance letter to the director, but I need help and advice from any kind stranger who can give me some suggestions. She also was looking at my P/O’s address, but I am not a drug felon.
The first position you need is to have your doctor on your side and on the same page with you, request a visit w/ him/her and explain why you feel this way. Also if you feel this way certainly call the health and aging dept. and file a violation against the facility, this action will not turn the facility against you but will prompt action towards this person. The will require a visit by the state to answer your complaints. Remember the facility is required by state law to provide a way for any grievances you have. File yourself as obviously they may take quite a while to file for you. Next contact ” a place for mom” they have a web-site and can assist you in finding a new facility or in placing a grievance also, and they know the state agencies too. They handle both men and women.
