I have a sore throat,can I take this?
I am prescribed Fioricet for my headaches..Right now I have a raw sore throat..I’ve taken a Sudafed PE,which didn’t do anything..Is Fioricet only for headaches or can it be used to relieve pain else where? Thanks!

I believe Fioricet is only for tension headaches… I know it contains caffeine and barbituates which help get rid of headaches… These wont do much for a sore throat…. Some of the best remedies you could try is gargling salt water, spraying your throat with Chloraseptic, and try drinking some warm tea (green tea works the best for me). The chloraseptic has always worked well for me because it numbs the throat and u cant feel the pain anymore… Sore throats are the kind of things you have to wait out until they get better if caused by a viral infection. If the pain doesnt get better in a few days you may want to go to the doctors for a strep test….
