How can i get rid of a migraine?
I took 2 Excedrin’s and it still wont go away! i feel kind of nauseous too, is there anyway other way i can get this migraine to go away?
Chosen Answer:
Have you tried an ice pack on the back of your neck? If your migraine is due to dilation of the blood vessels, the cold will help constrict them. But don’t leave on for more than 15 minutes.
I take a prescription migraine medication called Imitrex, which is a vasoconstrictor (constricts the blood vessels), and it works 100% of the time for me. Ice isn’t as powerful, of course, but it can help. So can caffeine, in some cases, if you have coffee around. If you have both acetominophen and aspirin in the house, then perhaps you can create your own Excedrin Migraine tablet – each EM tablet contains 250 mg aspirin, 250 mg acetominophen, and 65 mg caffein.
Nausea is unfortunately often part of the migraine experience; best thing to do is just lie still until the pain and nausea pass.
So sorry you’re going through this – it must be hard to get up and go to the computer and focus on typed words. Hope you improve quickly!

Go into a quiet, dark room and lie down.

Sleep.
Always works for me.
