Does anyone suffer from constant headaches and no doctor seems to be able to help? | Migraine Advisor

Does anyone suffer from constant headaches and no doctor seems to be able to help?

I suffer from headaches everyday. Some are migraines and some are just bad headaches. I have been seeing a neurologist for years and he is out of options. The only thinf=g that helped me was botox injections but my insurance sompany stopped paying for it. I have now developed a dependancy on fioricet pain medication. I want to be pain free and I want to stop taking these pills but I have 3 kids and I need to be able to function(the fioricet takes the pain away so I can do my daily stuff with the kids and taking care of the house ect…) I am going to a headache specialist in a few weeks. My neuroligist told me a long time ago before the fioricet thing that I suffer from migraines, tension headaches and everyday pain. Is there anyone out there that has a similar problem? I have had cat scans and mri’s they can’t find anything.

Chosen Answer:

Yes – I get them, when my mother was alive she used to get them and my daughter now gets them. The only thing they ever said with mine was it called non-specific peri-venticular white brain matter disease and gave me some perocet.

I have dealt with headaches in many people. See a Massage Therapist. Make sure they have experience in dealing with Migraine. It works when the therapist knows what they are doing. Good luck!

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
    meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
